How it works:

We raise your beef for you!

Through us you purchase your steer or heifer at approximately 6 months old; prior to your purchase these animals will have been with their mothers- the best way for an animal to grow!

Your animal then enters our feed program...with the feed we grow ourselves; including locally grown and produced non-GMO corn and hay grown on our land in Fitchburg and Lunenburg! Our beef have pasture to roam as well as high quality feed available for them to grow. We finish our cattle with hay, corn silage (whole corn plant chopped and fermented), and ground ear corn.

The costs:

1. You buy the cow at market price through us. (Currently market price is $2.75/lb, typically animals weigh around 400-700lbs)
2. We feed and care for your cow for a cost of $5.50/day as well as a $60 trucking fee for transportation of your animal to the butcher.
3. You are able to choose how your beef is cut and packaged and pay the butcher directly as well as pick up your meat from the butcher. (we estimate butcher costs to be between $1100-$1400 dependent on how meat is cut and packaged)

* Typically a 500lb cow takes 12-15 months to be ready for market and yields approximately 425lbs-475lbs of packaged beef*
